EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S CAMOGIE CLUB NOTES
Senior Fixtures & Results
The Senior team were defeated in the semi-final of the Ulster Club Championship last Sunday. In a tough encounter there was very little between Eglish and the Down champions Ballycran. In the first half Eglish stayed in touch with Ballycran and were trailing by just two points at half-time. Both teams continued to exchange points throughout the second half with the Eglish girls playing with great pride and heart. However, with ten minutes left to play, Ballycran edged ahead when they converted two consecutive fress and this proved to be the difference at the final whistle.
Well done to all players and the management. This game showed the passion and desire the girls have to establish Eglish on the Ulster scene.
Underage Results & Fixtures
Congratulations to the Under 16 team and management which won the Tyrone County Championship defeating Dungannon in the final.
Best Wishes to the minor team who play Dungannon in the final of the Minor Championship on Sunday 25th September. Time and venue to be confirmed.
Well done to Ciara McGready who was awarded Senior Sports Personality of the Year at St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon recently.
