EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S CAMOGIE CLUB NOTES

Tyrone Board Meeting for Development of Camogie

St. Patrick’s Camogie Club Eglish are very proud and privileged to have the honour of hosting the Tyrone County Board meeting on Monday 10th October at 7.15pm in the club rooms.  This is a very special meeting with the Tyrone County Board very honoured to welcome for the first time the Director of Camogie Mary O Connor.

As the Director of Camogie Development, Mary O’Connor is responsible for the implementation of the National Development Plan 2010 – 2015, in the area of Games Development.  This incorporates coaching, refereeing and administration.

As the Director she works with the Regional Development Co-ordinators to increase participation in Camogie at all levels and to ensure the coaches, referees and administrators involved in the game are trained to the highest standard.

Mary O’Connor was appointed to the position of Director of Camogie Development in March 2007 after spending a year and a half working as a Regional Development Co-ordinator for the Camogie Association.  Mary is a native of Killeagh in County Cork and plays both Camogie and Ladies Football for Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for all members of the Camogie association to attend this event to further enhance the profile and development of Camogie.  We would like to invite all parents and coaches of both camogie and football in the county, youth leaders and teachers of sport in primary and post primary schools to attend this event.
