EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES

Under 21 Football

Training for all members of the Under 21 panel continues.  All players are asked to stay in contact with management for training arrangements and upcoming fixtures.

 

Scor na nOg  

The club is looking anyone interested in participating in Scor na nOg to contact Cultural Officer Seamus Donnelly on 07717442044.

 

An Eaglais le Cheile

Can anyone with outstanding contributions for 2011 to An Eaglais le Cheile contact Club Treasurer Liz Daly.

 

Club Lotto

The Lotto result for Monday 26th September is as follows: winning numbers were 8, 9, 13 and 14.  There were nine ‘Match 3’ winners.  Lotto Jackpot for Monday 3rd October is £3,550.

 

FUNdamentals & Gaelic start Workshops

Tyrone County Board will be running two FUNdamentals / Gaelic Start workshop for coaches working with children aged 3-9yrs.  The aim of this programme is to help parents and coaches plan and implement a Gaelic Start and Fundamentals programme in their clubs.  The Gaelic Start programme will cover the first two stages of the LTPDP i.e. Active Start – 3 to 5 yrs. and Fundamentals 6 to 8/9 yrs.  A specific programme of skills and activities have been developed on user friendly cards for coaches with little or no experience

Dates, Venues, and Times

Monday 3rd October – Riversdale Leisure Centre, Strabane @ 8pm

Tuesday 4th October – Galbally Community Centre @ 7:30pm

Both sessions are open to coaches and parents to attend, feel free to turn up and come ready for a bit of light exercise and plenty of craic.

 

Award 2 Coaching Courses

The Ulster Council is running a number of Award 2 Coaching Courses over the coming months.  If any coaches are interested in attending this course and are up to the required standard please get in contact with Anne Daly on 028 8224 9060 or anne.daly.gda.tyrone@gaa.ie.

Gym Circuits

Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9pm and on Sunday mornings.  Everyone welcome.  There are also Gym Sessions for Under 12′s and Under 14′s on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm.  For further details contact Matt McGleenan on 07717712177.

 

Zumba Dance Fitness

Zumba Dance Fitness classes are being held in the Sports Hall, starting from Monday 19th September from 7-8pm.  No dancing experience is required, just bring light clothing and water.  Telephone 07795 523658 for further information.

 

Parish Priest

The club would like to wish Fr. Connolly all the best in his move to Clonfeacle Parish and we thank him for his help and assistance during his time in Eglish.  We would also like to welcome our newly appointed Parish Priest Fr. McAnenly to the parish and we look forward to working with him in the years ahead.

 

Sympathy

The club extends its sympathy to the Hughes family (Eglish) and the O’Loane family (Bellaghy and Moneymore) on their recent bereavements.
