EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES
Adult Football
Our Reserve team played Moortown in the first round of the championship last Monday evening. They were beaten on a scoreline of 1-06 to 0-07.
Under 21 Football
Training for all members of the Under 21 panel continues. All players are asked to stay in contact with management for training arrangements.
Under 16 Football
Eglish played Cappagh in the Grade 1 League quarter-final last Wednesday evening. There was never much between both teams and unfortunately the Eglish lads were beaten by a single point. Final score Cappagh 2-11 Eglish 2-10.
On Saturday they played Coalisland in the quarter-final of the Grade 1 Championship but in another tight encounter they were again beaten. Final score Coalisland 0-13 Eglish 2-05.
Under 13 Football
The Under 13 League continues this Friday 16th September with Eglish travelling to Cookstown. Throw-in at 6.30pm. The remaining games are as follows; Saturday 24th September home to Derrylaughan at 11am; Friday 30th September away to Clonoe at 6.45pm.
Under 10 Go Games Football
The Under 10 team was very successful in the recent blitz on Sunday 4th September held in Eglish winning all their games. The Management Team would like to thank Aidan Muldoon, Gerard McGurk, Matt McGleenan, Brian Murtagh, Joe Murtagh, James Murtagh, Sheila McKenna, Gail Bradley, Madonna Donnelly and Kieran Hagan for all their help in organising an extremely successful blitz as host club. On Saturday the team travelled to the Moy for the Father Soraghan Under 10 Tournament and put a lot of heart and soul into their performances. The Management Team would like to thank Malachy McKee for all his help and assistance on the day. Training continues as normal on Thursday evening at 6pm for all players.
Over 30′s Recreational Football
Congratulations to our Over 30’s team who won the Truagh Tournament at the weekend when they defeated Clontibret in the final.
All Ireland Final Appearance
Congratulations to Cormac Byrne who will be playing at half-time in Croke Park at the All Ireland Football Final this Sunday. Cormac is representing Tyrone as the winner of the Tyrone Skills Challenge.
Club Lotto
The Lotto result for Monday 5th September is as follows: winning numbers were 1, 7, 8 and 20. There were four ‘Match 3’ winners: Lisa Gildernew, Marie Barrett, Neil McCann and Emmett McKenna. Lotto Jackpot for Monday 12th September is £3,400.
Coffee Morning
All club members and supporters are welcome to attend a Coffee Morning in the Sports Hall on Sunday 25th September at 12midday (after 11am Mass).
Gym Circuits
Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9pm and on Sunday mornings. Everyone welcome. There are also Gym Sessions for Under 12′s and Under 14′s on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm. For further details contact Matt McGleenan on 07717712177.
Zumba Dance Fitness
Zumba Dance Fitness classes are being held in the Sports Hall, starting from Monday 19th September from 7-8pm. No dancing experience is required, just bring light clothing and water. Telephone 07795 523658 for further information.
