Sympathy
On Friday 24th March, our club was plunged into sorrow when we learned the news of the passing of Anne Jordan. Anne was one of the clubs most talented and skillful players and had a record breaking career playing until she was 46 and winning more senior titles than any other gael across the four codes in all of Ireland. Anne was a key figure for Eglish in the 80s and 90s and was paramount to the Clubs successes during these decades. Anne’s legacy lives on in her girls Maria and Cathy who are instrumental figures on our senior team today. She proudly travelled to Croke Park on the 5th March to watch her daughters play in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Anne’s husband Patsy, son Stephen, daughters Elaine, Maria and Cathy, her grandchildren and the wider family circle.
I gcomhluadar na Naomh go raibh sí.
