Adult Football
Seniors and Reserves opened their league campaign on Sunday passed. Both teams came home from Rock with a full complement of points. Results, Senior Rock 0-10 Eglish 1-13, Reserve Rock 1-05 Eglish 5-14. Games this weekend are on Saturday, on account of Easter Sunday, Loughmacrory will be the visitors to Fr Connolly Park with Throw ins at 4.00pm, Reserve, and 5.30pm, Senior.
Youth Football
On Wednesday the Minor team travelled to Kildress, Unfortunately went down by two points on a score line of Kildress 3-16 Eglish 3-14. Next up is Moortown on Wednesday 19th, in Moortown at 7.15pm.
The Under 14 have had two games in the past week. The results been a defeat and a victory. On Saturday they travelled to Killeeshil but were unable to reverse the result from their first meeting, however they were things were different when they hosted Donaghmore on Tuesday evening, coming out with a victory by the narrowest margins. The Under 14’s have a break this weekend, their next game, like the Minors, is against Moortown, theirs been in Saturday 22nd.
There is no Under 12 Training this Thursday, but it will be back next week. The boys had a number of challenge games over the past week.
Under 10 & Under 8 training is suspended this week. However it is the turn of the Under 8 boys this Saturday as they travel to Moy for their first Blitz of the year. Games Commence at 10.30am. Parents should monitor the WhatsApp group for travel arrangements.
Other
The time is getting close and those running shoes should be well cleaned down by now. Saturday 22nd sees the Cormac Run 2017. There are two courses 5k and 10k. To avoid the morning rush it is best to pre-register at cormacrun.org.
This week’s Lotto Numbers were 16, 20, 21 & 22. Four people matched 3 Eoghan Donnelly, Kieran Daly, Finbar McGready and John McVeigh. Next Lotto Draw is Monday 24th, and the Snowball is now £6400. If you’re not in you can’t win, so play now at www.locallotto.ie.
