EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES

Adult Football
This Sunday, 17th April, our Reserve and Senior teams are away to Donaghmore in their first Division 1 League game. Reserves 2.15pm and Seniors 3.45pm.

Minor Football
Our Minors made it two wins from two with a 2-09 to 1-06 win over Clonoe last Friday night. The next Minor league game is away to Cookstown on Tuesday evening, 12th April, at 7pm. The Grade 1 Minor Championship draw was made recently and Eglish will play Cookstown in the first round of it also. Date to be confirmed.

Under 16 Football
The Grade 1 Under 16 Championship draw was also made recently and Eglish will play Ardboe in the first round. Date to be confirmed.

Under 14 Football
Our Under 14’s traveled to Carrickmore last Friday evening but were defeated by 11-13 to 6-07. Their next league game is at home to Errigal Ciaran on Tuesday 12th April at 6.45pm. This weekend our Under 14’s play in the Tyrone Grade 1 Feile Peil na nOg. Eglish are in the same group as Pomeroy, Gael Naomh Padraig, Galbally and Loughmacrory. All games will be played in Dunmoyle, with the first game commencing at 10.15am.

Under 12 Football
Training for Under 12 players begins on Monday 18th April, starting at 6.00pm sharp. All parents and players should note there will be an Under 12 Blitz in Eskra on Saturday 30th April.

Under 6, Under 8, Under 10 Tournaments
Could all parents please note that training for all Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 teams will start on Thursday 14th April starting at 6pm sharp and will finish at 7pm. After the meeting on Sunday it has been requested, due to safety reasons, that all parents must both leave and collect their child at the grass of the football field and not in the car park. The management team would like to thank all parents who attended the information meeting on Sunday morning. If you were unable to attend the meeting on Sunday your child must be registered with the club before they can start training for the new season. Registration forms will be made available before training on Thursday evening. Your support is greatly appreciated on the matter. All new players and parents are welcome to attend.

Club Membership
Anyone who still has not paid membership and wishes to do so should contact Club Registrar Sean Byrne to arrange payment. Membership for the new club year costs £30 per person, £10 for full-time students, £10 for Under 18’s and £5 for OAPs.

Tyrone Development Squads
Well done to the following players who are on the Tyrone Underage Development Squads. Under 16: Colin Byrne, Enda McElroy and Sean Muldoon. Under 15: Conor McKenna.

Annual Fashion Show
The Annual Eglish St. Patrick’s G.A.C. & Camogie Club Fashion Show takes place in the Sports Hall this Friday 15th April. The final preparations are being completed with the Sports Hall being transformed into a trendy venue. All the latest fashion trends will be on show and will be modeled by local models. It is guaranteed to be a great evening. Everyone welcome.

Fundraising
All members and supporters interested and willing to help with fundraising in any way should contact Kieran Hagan, Sheila McKenna or any committee member. All help appreciated.

Ladies Circuit Training
Circuit training for ladies continues on Monday evenings at 7pm in the Sports Hall. Everyone welcome.

Club Lotto
Winning Lotto numbers for Monday 4th April were 5, 6, 15 and 21. There was one Match 3 winners: Brendan Daly. Lotto Jackpot for Monday 4th April is £2,450.

Last Man Standing
Last weekend was the final round of games in the National Football League and only four made it through to share the prize money in the Last Man Standing Competition. They were Fergal Mallon, Joe Daly, Kieran Hagan and Ruari Martin. Thanks to all those who took part. The Senior and Reserve players are running another Last Man Standing Competition which is based on the Tyrone Division 2 League. Anyone who wishes to take part should contact any of the Senior or Reserve players.

Local News
Congratulations to Bridget Daly who got married to Ciaron O’Donnell last weekend. Many happy returns.

Sympathy
The club extends its deepest sympathy to the McKenna family (Caledon) on their recent bereavement.

Underage Results & Fixtures
Training continues for underage on Saturday morning from 10-11, and post primary and U14 from 11-12. All registration and membership can be returned at this time.
The Under 16 team got their league campaign of to a great start with a comprehensive win over Derrylaughan.
The post primary team were unlucky to be defeated by Derrytresk in the Post-Primary League 0-4 to 0-2, goal scorers were Catherine Donnelly and Alannah Muldoon.
Mon 18th April Post-Primary League (away) Dungannon V Eglish.

Seniors
The senior team had a great match and win against Keady last Wednesday in Eglish.
Fixtures: The Ulster League begins on Wednesday 13th April against Ballinascreen at 7pm in Ballinascreen.
Ulster League Eglish (home) V Clonduff 7pm Wed 20th April.

County News
The Tyrone County Board are hosting a “Stars in your Eyes” on 27th May in Crannon Inn with host on the night UTV’s Frank Mitchell. Local lads Steven Daly and Peter McCann are representing Eglish St Patrick’s. Tickets are available for this event from any committee member with a great night’s entertainment in store, dancing to a live band.
Best Wishes to the Tyrone senior team and management who play Armagh in the Championship on Saturday 16th April.
Best Wishes to the minor management and team who play Armagh on Sunday 17th April.

Club Membership
Any outstanding Membership for the new season should be paid, senior/minor players £25, non playing members/students/over 16 £15, under 16 £10, all membership should be paid by 31st March 2011.

Fashion Show
The club are hosting a fashion show on Friday 15th April, in the sports hall, tickets available from committee members. The latest Fashion from The edge, Cuba and kids Ring O Rosies all on the catwalk.
