Football Notes 4th April

Adult Football

Following the Easter break Senior preparations continue for the opening of the All County League on the weekend of 10th April. Currently the opening game against Omagh is scheduled for Sunday at 3.45pm (Reserve 2.15pm) in Fr Connolly Park. However keep your ears open as this may change as the week progress.

Youth Football

There was no Under 14 action at the weekend. Their next game is on Wednesday night against Dungannon, game is in Fr Connolly Park at 7.00pm. On Saturday they make the short trip to Dungannon for the first round of the Feile Peil na nOg, first game is against the hosts at 10.30am.

On Tuesday the Minors hosted Clonoe in Pairc Chormaic, Final result Eglish 2-09 Clonoe 3-12. This weekend Kildress will be the visitors on Friday evening, throw in 7.00pm.

Under 6, 8 & 10 Football commences on Thursday 6th at 6pm in Fr Connolly Park.

Other

Saturday evening the clubs’ Jubilee Banquet takes place in “The Hillgrove Hotel”, Monaghan, and I hope everyone has made their booking with the various beautifying establishments in the parish. If you need any details please contact Frankie. The evening kicks off with a reception at 6.00pm, Dinner at 7.00 and Music until late. Kieran has promised not to talk for too long. Dress code is Black Tie.

Orders are now being taken for tickets for the National Football League Finals, The Division 2 Final is been held on Sunday 24th April as the curtain raiser to the Division 1 Final. There will also be other commemorative activities on this day. Please forward requests to Secretary Paul Donaghy or Chairman Kieran Hagan. Members will be given preference on all allocations.

Good Luck to Tyrone under 21 team in the Ulster Final on Wednesday, Especially Playing representative Colm Byrne, and management team member Lorcan Martin.
