Adult Football

Seniors and Reserves travelled to Stewartstown on Sunday, Seniors claimed the win, but spoils were shared in the Reserve game. Results: Senior Stewartstown 0-06 Eglish 0-10; Reserve Stewartstown 2-13 Eglish 2-13. This week we host Aghyaran on Sunday afternoon, throw ins are at 2.15pm, reserve, and 3.45pm, senior.

Youth Football

Minors travelled to Moortown on Wednesday, Unfortunately they went down by Three points on a scoreline of Moortown 1-14 Eglish 1-11. This week they make the shot trip to The O’Neill Park to take on Dungannon on Friday 28th at 7.15pm.

The Under 14’s hosted Moortown and Killeeshil in Feile na nOg on Tuesday evening. Unfortunately they lost both games, with Killeeshil progressing to the finals night. They return to League action on Monday 1st May. Hosting Ardboe in Fr Connolly Park, Throw in is 7.00pm.

Under 12 Training is on Wednesday night this week. Under 10 & Under 8 training continues on Thursday as normal.

Other

Thanks to all those that helped and took part in today’s Cormac Run. Congratulations to Men’s winner Paul Conway, completing the course in 35min43sec. He was followed home by Ladies Winner Pauline McGurren in 39:11. Mel Hughes (39:54) and Kevin Darragh (40:45) were Second and Third in the Men’s race. The podium places in the Ladies Race were completed by Angela O’Neill (42.25) and Elaine McGuckian (42.29). The 5K race was lead home by Shane Murphy. He was followed in by Jarlath Hughes in Second and Ryan Maguire in Third. Briege Coyle was first Lady home, with Eve Hughes and Brigid Murphy claiming Second and Third respectively. Thanks once again for TJ Hamilton Volkswagen for their Sponsorship of and support for the event.

As the Summer is approaching, yes summer is coming, it’s time for a little party. The club is hosting a Vintage Tea Party on the evening on Sat May 6th. Anyone interested in taking a table should make contact with Kieran Hagan or Sheila McKenna. Tables of all sizes are welcome. Dancing will follow to the music of Eugene O’Kane.
