Adult Football

Seniors and Reserves played Augher at the weekend with the Seniors travelling on Friday and the Reserves making the journey on Monday night. Both teams came home with their points. Results: Senior Augher 0-11 Eglish 3-12; Reserve Augher 2-05 Eglish 5-15. This week Kildress come to Eglish on Sunday, throw ins are at the regular times of 2.15, Reserve, 3.45, Senior.

Youth Football

The Under 14 team hosted Pomeroy and Cookstown in their heat of the Feile Peil na nOg. At the end of the morning’s games Cookstown progressed the finals day. This week they travel to Cookstown on Saturday, throw in 1.30pm in Paddy Cullen Park.

The Minors continued their winning form with wins against Moortown and Killeeshil. Results: Eglish 1-20 Moortown 0-11; Killeeshil 1-11 Eglish 0-21.

Other

This year’s Cormac Run will take place on 21st April. Start time will be 10.00am. Pre-registration is highly recommended and can be done at cormacrun.org. If you do not get a chance to pre-register you will still be able to do so on Saturday morning between 8.00 and 9.30am.

If you are not running in the Cormac Run on Saturday, don’t feel left out as you can come along and help at the event. Help needed to register runners on the morning, marshall the course or just lend some support to all the participants.

This week’s winning Lotto numbers were 4, 10, 17 & 21. There was no winner of the Snowball and it now rolls over to next week and is £2300. Match 3 winner were Grace Daly and Gary Nicholl. You can play now at www.locallotto.ie.

There were 30 fallers this week in Last Man Standing, 27 of which were on Omagh. This week’s selections should be submitted before Friday.

The club membership is greatly saddened by the passing of Bessie Barrett, wife of the late Joe, a club founding member and longtime club treasurer. Indeed all of her family has been heavily involved in the club from its formation. We would like to offer our sympathies to her entire family circle, A Thiarna déan trócaire ar a hanam.
