Adult Football

Gortin were the visitors to Fr Connolly Park on Sunday past. Both Senior and Reserve games finished with home wins. Results, Senior: Eglish 2-11 Gortin 1-10; Reserve: Eglish 7-13 Gortin 0-09. This weekend the opposition will be Moortown in Moortown, Seniors travel on Friday night and the Reserves follow on Tuesday evening, both games throw in at 7.30pm.

Youth Football

The Under 14 team travelled to Kildress on Monday evening. They just fell a little short after a spirited second half comeback. Result: Kildress 5-12 Eglish 4-10. Next up is Coalisland as they will be the visitors to Fr Connolly Park on Sunday, throw in currently scheduled for 2/00pm on Sunday. This will be followed on Wednesday evening as they host Kildress at 7.30pm in Fr Connolly Park.

The Minors travelled to Dungnnon on Tuesday evening. They duly returned home, on a very wet evening, with another two points. Result Dungannon 1-07 Eglish 2-10. The next Minor Match is scheduled for Tuesday 15 May, when they host Ardboe in Fr Connolly Park.

Other

This week’s winning Lotto numbers were 1, 4, 10 & 13. There was no winner of the Snowball and it now rolls over to next week and is £2400. Match 3 winner were Dermot Muldoon, Liz Daly, Ruairi Martin, Gary Nicholl, Colin O’Neill and Teresa McGarvey. Play now at www.locallotto.ie

There were another 10 fallers this weekend, Pomeroy and Moy were responsible for all of them this week. This week’s selections should be submitted before Friday.

Well Done to Tyrone Minors, with a special mention to Michael and Colin, on their win in the Opening round of the Ulster Championship.
